My second Student Piano Concert for 2024 was held locally at The Church, allowing my studio of young local musicians to enjoy performing in this beautiful venue and on the superb Fazioli pianos. We were so thankful for this opportunity!

Scheduled three days before Christmas, it was a terrific way to finish the year before the long January break. Some from my Studio could not attend, but we still had plenty of music, with three of Eleanor Streatfeild's cello students joining us to provide some variety to the otherwise all piano program.

I like to organise Sunday 11am 'coffee concerts' for my Studio Student Concerts - performances are over by 12.15pm and this time we even enjoyed the complimentary, extra tasty cold brew coffee provided by Dan Lopez and his 211 Coffee.

Piano students performing were aged 6 years to professional, with performance standards from AMEB Grade 3 to AMusA and beyond. Eleanor and I also performed together, and we selected to play the lushious slow movement from Rachmaninov's Cello & Piano Sonata.

With Christmas cheer, some seasonal items on the program, and all heartfelt performances, our year of learning and teaching was finished on a high.
